• TAAASS404B Participate in Assessment Validation

Below are the two Validation Planning tools to be completed for Assessment Task 1. Tool 2 asks for an analysis of the Benchmarks - i.e the Unit of Competency. This is to ensure you have a good understanding of what is being assessed in the Unit. You need to write a very brief summary of the what would be required to obtain competency in the unit. The unit descriptor is a good place to start. But don't forget to check the Evidence Guide as well as the Elements in case there are any special requirements e.g. needs to be assessed in the workplace.




These are the tools you will need to be familiar with before the Validation Meeting. Please use these tools rather than the ones in your Learner Guides.








Units in the Assessment Field are:

• TAAASS401C Plan and organise assessment
• TAAASS402C Assess competence
• TAAASS403B Develop assessment tools
• TAAASS404B Participate in assessment validation

We will be studying the first three units together then move onto the validation at the end of the course.
